Summer seems to have changed into autumn over night in Surrey at the Bruce’s Dog Walking and Day Care Centre. With the mornings a little crisper and slightly the darker, the dogs are all just as enthusiastic to picked up each morning by their dog walker and taken to the doggie day care centre for the day.
This time of year is also very exciting for the Esher dog walkers as lots of the twelve week old puppies start. It’s always an exciting day when a new puppy starts and the Esher dog walkers really take their time and introduce the puppy really slowly and gently to the pack. Depending on how confident the puppy is they usually will introduce it to one of the very calm older dogs and then gradually increase the number of dogs. That way the puppy never feels overwhelmed and is comfortable and happy. It’s really important to the Esher dog walkers that the first experiences the puppies have are very positive and happy because they are at a very impressionable age.
The puppies’ quickly associate being picked up in the van with coming to centre and having fun. The dog walkers also feed the puppies at mid day and make sure they rest too throughout the day too. Coming from such a young age is such a benefit to a young dog they learn not only to socialize with other puppies but also how to interact with older dogs.
